Birthday Parties

Available exclusively for members of DNC

Have your child's next birthday party at Dunwoody Nature Center! Choose one of these exciting programs led by a DNC educator.

Each Birthday party includes:

• DNC-logo postcards for use as invitations
• A 1-hour program led by a DNC educator
• A special gift for the birthday child
• A sticker for each party guest.
• Small favor for each party guest
• 30 minutes additional access to the nature center building, restrooms, library, etc.

Parties for 4- to 5-year-olds

Choose from one of these programs:

• Bugs — Learn about insects through song, activities and collectiong live insects. or
• Nature & Five Senses — Learn how animals use their five senses through games and activities. or
• Discover Nature — Learn about the current season through activities, games and stories. (4 seasonal options below):
  • Winter Wonderland
  • Fall Is Here
  • Butterflies Are Free
  • Spring into Action

All birthday party programs include a nature hike.

Parties for 6- to 8-year olds

Choose from one of these programs:

• Outdoor Games — Learn about the outdoors through fun, interactive games, or
• Bugs — Learn about insects through song, activities and collectiong live insects. or
• Nature Arts & Crafts — Create nature themed works of art, or
• Water Everywhere — Learn about water and the creatures that live in it by exploring Wildcat Creek, or
• Owl Prowl — Learn all about owls through games, owl pellet dissection and a night hike. (see special package)

All birthday party programs include a nature hike.

Your choice of 1 hour educational program for the first 12 children (including birthday child) Use of building for 30 minutes after program DNC Logo postcard invitations Insect collecting jar for the birthday child Nature themed sticker for each child	Tadpole Package DNC T-shirt for the birthday child Insect collecting jars for each child 12 cup cakes from Publix Bakery ($8 extra for 12 additional cupcakes) napkins, cups, tablecloths apple juice and water candles and matches
Owl Prowl Package $200.00	Benevolent Option
2 hour educational program all about owls for the first 12 children (including birthday child) Suggested Party Time from 7:00 - 9:30 pm Use of building for an additional 30 minutes (preferred at beginning) DNC T-shirt for the birthday child Owl pellet for each party guest DNC Logo postcard invitations	Do your kids have too much stuff? Do you want to teach them to share? Ask the DNC staff if we have a particular wish guests could grant.

 

Fees

• $100 Tadpole Package
• $180 Frog Package for up to 12 children
• $12 per child for each additional child (beyond the 12 included in the package)

Family membership is required if the
family membership is not current

Parties Can Be Scheduled

• Weekdays from 10 am - 4 pm
• Saturdays from 10 am - 4 pm
• Sundays by special arrangement
• Schedule adjustments must be made at least 48 hours prior to the party

In inclement weather, the party will be indoors, with additional craft activities.

Refund Policy

Refunds are allowed if more than 1 week before the scheduled program minus a 15% administrative fee
