There's So Much To Do!
The Dunwoody Nature Center features wetland, woodland and streamside trails, display gardens, a picnic meadow and a shaded playground.
The park is open sun-up to sundown, seven days a week, free of charge. Dunwoody Nature Center is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays by prior arrangement.

Childrens Programs
NATURE CLASSES
8-week classes for 2- to 6-year olds.
Explore science and nature through age-appropriate games, crafts, stories, and other seasonal experiments and activities. Themes change each season.
SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS
Bring your class to Dunwoody Nature Center for a fun, educational nature program. K–8.
Classes move through the meadow and trails of Dunwoody Park for hands-on environmental learning with DNC educators. Field trips are academically-based and curriculum materials are correlated with the Georgia Performance Standards.
SCOUT ACTIVITIES
Plan your next Scout Outing at DNC.
Sit back and relax in nature as a DNC educator leads your scouts on a fun and educational program. Come early or stay late to explore trails throughout 22 acres of Dunwoody Park. Have a snack in the picnic meadow — visit the playground and romp over rocks in Wildcat Creek.

Dunwoody Park is a wonderful place to engage in outdoor learning through hands-on experiments, outdoor exploration, artistic expressions, and scientific inquiry. Younger children and parents can explore the park and a playground while siblings are in class.
BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL
Don't miss the BIGGEST event of the DNC year! We're already planning for next year: June 28th is the date!
Bring family and friends to meet butterflies, ladybugs, honeybees, and more. Kids enter a HUGE tent to meet and hand-feed over 700 colorful butterflies. WOW!
